Car Care Tips
The Cardinal “Don’ts” of Car Washing
Left to our own devices, all car owners make at least one of these bone-headed blunders.  This list is to prevent you from learning the hard way.

  • Don’t wash your car with hot-hot water.
  • Don’t wash your car in direct sunlight.
  • Don’t use a strong soap or chemical cleaner.
  • Don’t use hard water, especially rusty water.
  • Don’t use bleach for cleaning your car.
  • Don’t use steel wool on chrome plating.
  • Don’t use hard-type brushes directly on the finish.
  • Don’t let bug, bird and carbon black residue sit for too long.
  • Don’t let your car dry in the sun.
